We have a happy, dedicated, knowledgeable and professional family of practitioners and support staff at Bright Beginnings Childcare Centre. We offer in-house training and close for at least 2.5 days training per year. We support apprentice practitioners working towards their qualification in Early Years or Play work as well as student placements from local colleges, The University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University.

We have seven play areas at Bright Beginnings and a busy playscheme in the school holidays!

Our lovely diverse team contribute to children’s learning, play and development following the Early Year’s Foundation Stage Curriculum. We have worked together to achieve a Outstanding in all areas from Ofsted and a Level 3 in the National Day Nurseries Association’s Quality Assurance scheme. Our current journey is working through the Curiosity Approach Accreditation. The Curiosity Approach is an internationally recognised scheme influenced by the approaches of global pedagogy. The approach encourages practitioners to provide enchanting environments for children, enabling them to be curious.

We are looking for outstanding full-time individuals to join our team.

Bright Beginnings is an award-winning state of the art childcare centre. We provide high quality childcare to students and staff members at The University of Leeds.

Bright Beginnings Childcare Centre is registered with Ofsted Early Years, who have awarded us an ‘Outstanding’ grade in all aspects. We accommodate up to 168 children aged between 3 months and 5 years.

We are looking for

Childcare Practitioners

  • Full Time 40 hours per week
  • Salary is £15,600 pa
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification is required

Senior Childcare Practitioners

  • Full Time 40 hours per week
  • Salary is £16,890 pa
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification is required

Playwork Supervisor

  • Full Time 40 hours during the school holidays approx. 13 weeks of the year
  • A Play work qualification is desirable with experience of leading and managing a team
  • Salary is £20,571 Pro Rata

Playworkers

  • Full-Time 40 Hours during the school holidays approx. 13 weeks of the year
  • Salary is £15,600 Pro Rata
